Defending in wide areas - Function (45 mins)
Organisation - Area marked out approx 10-15 yrds into the opposite half. Area is marked out in this specific way to allow the players to have the relative movents in relation to the theme.
7v7 + GK.
Blue to attack the goal / When the reds regain possession they play into the target players as quickly as possible. Target players to then play into the blues to allow free flow.
1 - Start position can be varied but initially start with the furthest midfielder away from the main side of the area of coaching will take place.
