The goalkeeper starts on one of the tall cones. On the coaches command they move to the first cone (always facing towards the ball), touch it and then dive away from the cone at a ball hit along the floor to start with. If they have held onto the ball they throw it back to the coach whilst moving to the second cone. Again they touch it and then dive away to make a save. Continue through all of the cones.
Progression 1- Moving diagonally forwards but with balls served in the air at mid height.
Progression 2- Moving diagonally backwards with balls along the floor.
Progression 3- Moving diagonally backwards with balls served in the air.
Coaching points - always stay facing the ball, use quick little steps, move both hands together towards the ball where possible.

Set up sight blockers around the goal area and have shots taken from different positions. This will encourage the goalkeeper to move their feet to make saves and react to shots that they can't see.
Progression 1- hit shots from different start points, out of hands on the volley, on a half volley, from the floor.
Coaching points - make surre that you are square to the shooter, be in the set position after you move into position, quick steps to move around the goal area, move both hands to the ball at the same time where possible.

Set up a normal sized goal with a smaller goal inside it (use poles). To start with hit a designated number of shots into the smaller goal at any height and direction. If the keeper saves and holds the ball they get 2 points, if they save and parry they get 1 point, if it goes in 0 points.
Always allow the keeper to come back to the middle of the goal.
Progression 1- Use the full goal. The same points system is used.
Coaching points - when you are in the middle of the goal be in the set position with your hands up, in the smaller goal move your feet quickly so that you can remain square to the ball you should be able to make most saves without diving, in the full go have a quick 1 or 2 steps and then make diving saves.
