1) 2 teams of 8 players (4 inside grid, 4 outside grid)
2) 4v4 inside grid while 4 players from each team work the perimeter of the grid.
3) Play begins with the ball with one of the outside players. She must play the ball into one of her teammates inside the grid, who then plays the ball to the other teammates within the grid.
4) Attacking team keeps possession by playing ball back outside to their teammates along the perimeter of the grid. This makes is a 8v4 situation for the team with the ball. If the defending team can win the ball, they can then use their teammates outside the grid to keep possession.
5) 8 consecutive passes equals a goal.

Same as previous activity but we now place a striker or CM for each team inside a 5 yard square in the middle of the grid. Every time a team gets 8 consecutive passes, a goal is awarded. Every time a team can play a pass to the striker in the box, a goal is awarded.

Possession in Thirds (20 mins)
* 3 teams of 7 with 1 ball per team
* Each team passes ball to their teammates and move around the area.
* Keep ball on the floor, no balls/passes in the air
Progression: Add combination play (overlaps, wall passes, 1-2s, etc). Also ask players to see if they can receive the ball between people and, most importantly, on the run. Encourage this by asking them to take their 1st touch towards a marker on the outside (away from pressure).
