The purpose of changing the point attack is to break lines. That often gets missed, and we are content with just moving the ball.
The key word in changing the point of attack is attack, not changing.
In this illustration, the green line represents the ball moving across the field, and the red and white lines represent breaking one line. The movement of the 6, 8 and 10 are just as important as the movement of the ball.
