Have the players in partners at a set of gates striking the ball through the gates, low, and accurate to their partner on the other side. Emphasize and introduce the driven ball technique
- Ankle locked
- Toe pointed down
- Body bent over the ball
- Body position at an angle relative to the ball
- Non striking foot correct distance from the ball [not too close]
- Strike through the center of the ball
- Follow through towards your target and land on your striking foot

Add movements to the gate. After a pass is made through the gates the players must move to a new gate and strike through another set. Progress and add layers of challenge: must alternate the color gate you score on, can't score on a gate directly next to the one you just scored on, time restrictions, etc.
Coaching points:
- Driven ball technique
- Decision making
- When and When not to play driven ball [Player in the way]

In a 4v4 or 5v5 setting, split the teams up evenly and have 2 oversize goals with each team attacking and defending one with no goalkeeper. Split the field down the middle with a half way line. Each time the attacking team scores in the attacking half count it as 1 goal. Every time the attacking player uses the driven ball technique to score from his own defensive half count it as 3 points.
Coaching Points:
- Driven ball technique
- Decision Making [ Was this the right time to use the driven ball or are we just kicking it?]
