Moving Rondos (5 mins)

Instructions:

Players on offense look to keep posession from the defenders. If attacking group can connect 4 passes without losing the ball they look to get the ball into the next grid. Each time they transfer the ball over attacking players gain one point. If defender wins the ball they do not gain a point but they switch places with the attacker who made the mistake and the game continues.

Conditioned Game (phase 1) (10 mins)

Organization:

Instructions:

Player 1 plays the ball into player 2 who now has a defender on his back. He looks to use turns to find a teammate on the left or the right of him (3) (4). Player 2 may also play the ball back to 1 if pressure is too tight and they cannot turn. As soon as the initial pass 1 extra player may now enter the grid (4). Atttackers look to dribble through gate or pass through the pug. If defenders win the ball they look to do the same.

B) 2 defenders enter the grid on the initial ass making it a 4v3.

Conditioned Game (Phase 2) (10 mins)

Organization:

7v5

Attacking-5,4,3,2,8,6,10

Defending-6,8,10,7,11

Instruction:

The Game now opens up with both grids being involved with one soccer ball. The ball always starts with either the 5 or 4 with the first pass going into the feet of the 6 or 8 each time. As soon as the ball is played in two extra defenders may enter the area to defend. Attackers look to dribble through gate or pass in pugs for points. If the defender wins the ball they look to do the same in the opposite direction.

Progressoins:

(If you'd like to see team switch the point of attack more often.)

If attacking team is able to get the ball from side A to side B then score they get 2 points instead of 1.

Phase Play (25 mins)

Starting Attacking Group 4-2-1

Progression 1: Add wide players (4-2-3)

Progression 2: Add striker (4-2-3-1)

Starting Defending Group (2-2-1)

Progression 1: Add 1 central Midfielder (2-3-1)

Progression 2: Add Central Defender (3-3-1)

Instructions: Attacking Players look to build out though the lines and find a pug or dribble through the gate. Each worth 1 point! If coach wants players to attack centrally (pugs worth 2) if coach wants players to attack in wide areas (gates worth 2 points). If Defenders win he ball they look to attack the big goal (60-45 seconds to score.)
