The "C" for the session is incorporarting communication within the passing and receiving session. See below for breakdown.
Warm-up
As players are passing and warming up. ask them to chat bwtween their pairs and ask them to think of what they think a player with good and bad communication skills would be like. At the changes between routines briefly ask them to shout out. Encourage players to call to each other for a pass and what foot etc.
Main session
After 1st progression and they are familiar with their team mates, remove bibs from both teams. Now they have to work harder to look up and communicate better to be sucessful. Keep bibs off for the remainder of the session .
Praise players that communicate well and encourage players to praise each other for passing on good information to team mates or for encouraging each other.
Drinks/practice breaks
Ask players to think about what they did well and what they could do better in that practice for both passing and recieving and their communication. Ask them to give themselves a mark out of 10 for both and see if they think they can improve on that for the next practice lined up.
Session close
Break 5 mins before end to have end of session team talk and review the session.

Area:
20*20 grid. Extra balls behind the area.
Equipment:
Cones, poles, discs to mark area
Objective:
10 players. 3v3 in the grid with a target player on both sides of the team's axis. Red play East vs. West. Blue north vs. south. Objective is to play from one target player to the other target player. Rotate players every 2 minutes.
Progression 1:
When a player passes to an outside player, the outside player dribbles the ball into play and the player that passed to them takes their place on the ouside.
Progression 2:
Both teams are playing a game against each other. There is 1 ball in play and they score a point by making it from one side to the other without any tackles or interceptions.
Key points:
Remind players to scan & check their space before turning. Use back foot to recieve if able to turn into space or protect the ball front foot if not. Encourage players to try and be on the half turn when recieving. Look up before passing to set sights and improve accuracy. Pass firm and strike the centre of the ball.

Area:
Use third or quarter of astro pitch or similar size approx 12 players.. (Adjust appropriately for number of players) Put 2 goals back to back on the half way line. Split into 2 teams with a red on the baseline of the red shooting goal side and a blue on the baseline of the blue shooting side. Depending on numbers you can add players down the side to make it not so congested. I have put 1 colour from each team on each touchline or you could have 1 neatral player on each side.
Equipment:
Goals, balls, bibs, cones discs to mark pitch if no lines.
Objective:
Each team shoots and defends opposite goals. the purpose of the goals like this is to keep the ball in play and encouraging lots of transitions as you don't have to travel the legth of the pitch from one end to the other.. Encourage shoot on site with rush goal keepers.
Progression:
The ball needs to be passed back to the player on the baseline before you can shoot. this is to allow the team to fully recover and defend their goal incase players just dribble aroundfrom front of one goal to the other, negating the transition.

warm up activity (15 mins)
Area:
create 5 yard squares. enough for 2 players in each square.
Equipment:
Balls, cones
Objective:
Pair the players up and occupy a square. carry out the tasks numbered below for 1 min then all players perform the next.
1) 3 yard pass. lots of touches
2) Quick little volleys into hands.
3) Start 3 yards apart. player runs forward, touches ball in partners hand, back pedals to start and partner throws ball to header. (try to get off the ground and jump). change every 3.
4) 5 yard passing. when partner shouts "GO!" let the ball run through your legs, turn and retreive ball. Partners pass should firm to only travel 5 yards behind but not too hard that the ball is far away.
5) stand opposite ball on floor. copy coaches commands (touch your knees, touch your toes etc). When the coach shouts "snatch" grab the ball to win a point. Play 3 or 5 times.
