20 mins
Half Pitch 16 players.
3 teams in different colours. Set up a 2-3 formation for the attacking team, replicating a 1-4-3-3 formation, against a back 4 and a Holding Centre Midfielder.
One player from the other team plays to one of the Centre Midfielders (#8 or #10). Once the player has received the ball the Defenders can start to play.
Play 5v5 with the objective of the Attackers to score in the big goal. If the Defenders (Black) win the ball, they must attempt to score in goals the halfway line.
Once the ball is dead, by scoring, going out of play, or the Defenders get over the halfway line, the Attacking team defends, the Defenders go to the back of the line and new Attackers come on to the field . The activity continues, if needed the coach can play the ball into the attackers to create a flow to the exercise.
Wingers need to stay wide on the outside shoulder of the Full Back when the ball is central. When the ball goes wide, the opposite Winger should come on the inside between the Centre Back and the Full Back to prepare their position to enter the box. When the cross is set up, Wingers need to either cross over with the Striker or go to the back post.
As individuals, players need to move to unbalance the opposition to create supporting options or create space for their teammates to unbalance the opposition. Attackers also need to time their movements accordingly, with double movements if needed, and move as the ball is moving or just as the ball is being crossed.

20 mins
Half Pitch 16 players.
3 teams in different colours. One team starts and sets up in a 2-3 formation, replicating a 1-4-3-3 formation, Use Players to represent defenders or mannequins.
One player from the other team plays to one of the Centre Midfielders (#8 or #10) who then plays to one of the Wingers to receive and cross. At the same time as the Winger receiving, attackers need to get into positions to receive the ball depending on the crossing position and type.
Once one team has attacked, the next team sets up in the same positions to start the exercise again. Repeat the same technical exercise for each team 4 times, changing sides to cross from.
Players need to use short sharp movements to create space for themselves and lose markers. When attacking the box, attackers need to vary their moves to make play unpredictable for the opposition.
Players need to use creative passing to find disguise passing or take on mannequins in 1v1 situations as they would in a game.
Wingers need to stay wide on the outside shoulder of the Full Back (mannequin) when the ball is central. When the ball goes wide, the opposite Winger should come on the inside between the Centre Back and the Full Back to prepare their position to enter the box. When the cross is set up, Wingers need to either cross over with the Striker or go to the back post.
