Fun fitness - Race, score, turn (20 mins)

Simple drill to build fitness. works best with a pair small goals about 30 yards apart and 6 to 10 players

1.1st player dribbles unopposed and attempts to score goal

2.as soon as shot is taken, the shooter becomes a defender must go round the marker and defend against attacking player from opposite team who has started running and attempts to beat player and score goal

3.pattern continues until coach stops

4.players can ony score in end zone, i.e. after passing the red marker

5. if player shoots or is tackled ball is dead and next attacking player starts

6.in order shoot-defend-collect ball and rejoin end of opposite group i.e blue then joins back of red group

make it red's v blues and keep score get each team to cheer team mates on

this drill should really tire them out as will be constant
