Organization:
15x20 channel with cones, as shown. 4 (or more) players, 1 ball.
Instructions:
Player A passes to B then follows pass (to become the next Player B).
B passes to C then runs to one of the two far cones (becoming the next Player C).
C dribbles to the middle line of cones then passes to the next player in line (i.e. the new A). C then goes to the back of the line.
Repeat pattern.
Two-touch limit for A and B.
Coaching Points:
Player B: Receive the ball on back foot and open the body up towards the target.
Player B: Check your shoulder as the play is building.
Point to where you want the pass.
Call for the ball.
Take the first touch in the direction of your next move.
Keep the ball moving.
Progressions:
1. Whichever cone C chooses, have B open up all the way to the middle cone on the opposite side.
2. Player C holds up 0-5 fingers. Before receiving the pass, B checks shoulder to count the fingers and shouts the number.
3. Player A walks towards the middle after passing; Player C performs a move (e.g. scissors, inside/outside) around A and dribbles to the end line.
