Intervals:
2:30 min work + :30 rest x 6 reps (2 for each team) = 20 min
Setup:
3 teams of 6
Three 25x15 grids
Activity:
One team is playing defense (pressing) for each interval. 3 pressers inside the grid and 2 in middle trying to cut off passing lanes.
Other teams try to keep possession by either passing within their grid or by switching to opposite grid.
Only defensive team can score: 1 point for winning ball and playing into middle (keeping possession) and 3 points for scoring in goal.
Progression:
+ Add CM from each team so it's 2v2 in the middle
Coaching Points:
+ Pressing cues -- bouncing ball, player facing wrong way, poor touch
+ Making play predictable
+ Force play backwards or sideways (and back in the same direction it came)
+ Midfielders checking shoulders to screen passing lanes

Activity:
Ball starts in central grid where it's 5v3 as attacking team tries to complete 20 passes to score a goal (passes don't have to be all in a row).
When 3 defenders win possession they connect with outside players to play 7v5 and also complete 20 passes for a goal.
5 defenders try to win possession and get ball back into central grid.
