Players need to run from the Pirate Ship in the middle of the pitch to one of the islands and then return to the Pirate Ship. Each trip earns the player 1 piece of treasure. If players visit more than one island before returning to the Pirate Ship, then they can earn more than one piece of treasure (2 islands=2 pieces of treasure) but they must return to the Pirate Ship to bank their treasure. Play for 30 seconds.

Progress game by adding in 3 defenders who act as sharks. Sharks partol the Sea, tagging the Pirates. Scoring system for the Pirates is the same as before.
If a shark tags a pirate, the pirate gives their treasure from that run to the shark and the pirate has to return to the Pirate Ship, before trying again.

Next progression gives each Pirate a ball. Rules of the game are the same as before but this time pirates have a choice of 3 ways to travel with the ball to the islands and back:
Running with the ball in their hands
Bounching the ball like a basketball
Dribbling the ball with their feet.
Before the game begins, give the players the choice of which method of travelling earns them 1, 2 and 3 pieces of treasure.
If the sharks tag a player with a ball in hand or tackles the ball from a pirate, they swap roles. The shark and pirate go over to the pirate ship and swap the bib. The Shark has to immediately return to the sea and cannot tackle the pirate on the pirate ship.
Challenges (if needed):
Matiss, Mason, Taylor (Forgers)-Dribble using one foot only (Matiss-weaker foot)
Dexter, Jacob (Strivers)-An extra piece of treasure for every 5 touches consecutively they have on the ball.
Play for around 5 minutes and then bring players together to introduce coaching point: using your body to shield the ball
Then continue playing, praise any player who is using body as shown in coaching point to shield the ball.

Game progresses to players being put into pairs. One of the players is the shark and the other is a pirate (let the players decide who is in which role). The pirates' job is to visit the islands to gather treasure. The shark's job is to tackle the ball. If the shark tackles the ball, the roles swap over and he becomes the pirate.
Ideal pairings:
Matiss, Fin and Taylor (1V2)
Mason and Tom
Archie and Dan
Freddy and Jack
Jacob and Dexter
Dylan and Owen
If any players are unavailable, move Fin out of 1V2 and into other pairing.

Play 4V4 with 2 players in each of the opposite islands. The aim is for a team to pass the ball into a reciever in the opposite island to score a goal. If a goal is scored, the player who made the pass to the reciever swaps roles with them. After the swap, the attacking team retreats to the half-way line and the ball is played out from the island to the defending team.
If players take the ball into the shaded area, only 1 defender can join them in the shaded area to play 1V1. If a player can dribble through the shaded area and pass the ball to the reciever, they will recieve an extra point.
Arrival Activity (Whole) (10 mins)
Key Factors
Add players to each pitch as they arrive, moving from 1 v 1, 1 v 2, 2 v 2 and so on.
Organisation
Two pitches each with a "scoring zone" at each end of the pitch. Players must dribble or pass into the zone to a teammate before they can score.
