Rules

-3v3 with four goals.

-3 minute games

-Have to be inside shooting zone for goal to count.

-Restart by passing or dribbling in

Coaching Points: Spacing? How should we start and why? Triangle formation why?

Technical Warm-up

Ball Mastery

inside-outside cut, dribble cut, dribble cut + sole, cruyffs, sole behind, sole-v

Cuts

step on cut, inside cut, outside cut

1v1 Moves

cut under, double cut under, scissor, double scissor, the hop, overs,

3v1 + 1 trailing defender.to Goal (10 mins)

3 v 1 + 1 Trailing Defender.

- 3 Players start from end line and have to try and dribble past one defender and score once in shooting zone.

- other defender starts 6 yards behind attacker and begins chasing once attacker takes first touch.

- the 3 players then immediately attack the other end with a defender waiting at the other end.

- Goal is to score 8 out of 10 times.

Coaching points: What is the best tactic in this game? (player in the middle should start with the ball and dribble straight at defender, once defender steps to, they should be able to pass it to one of their teammates for an easy tap in). If a teammate has space in front of them, should we pass the ball to feet or a little in front for them to run onto it? Why? Is the dribbler waiting too long to pass the ball?

Are the supporting players wide enough when attacking?
