11v 11 game
my team set up as 1-4-2-3-1
opposition team as 1-4-4-2 diamond
low block when they dont have the ball looking for counter att using there 2 forwards and 10
Problem 2
their 2 forwards stop my full backs from overlapping by blocking line of pass and always having my full back in their eye line.
Solution 2
when the full back cant overlap because the distance between the full back and winger is too big or their forward is marking my full back and tracks the run of my full back, this is what i will be looking for:-
- My full backs will both drop to play in line with central defenders to open up line of pass into the winger on relative side.
- Winger on ball side will pin the full back who is marking them
- Ball side central midfielder willmake a timed late and fast run to either overlap or underlap the winger in possession of the ball depending on where the space is that he has recieved the ball in from the central defender.
- My number 9 will pin their central defender on the side where the 2v1 will be looking to take place
- Central midfielder who is not involved in making the 2v1 will stay central to where my central defenders are making up the defensive balance for the team
- My no 10 will be on the move for the cross coming in from the 2v1 looking to get across the front post space for a low hard cross
- Winger who has not played a part in the 2v1 will again get himself into the far post for a cross that is over the back.
- My Back 4 will remain in tight and use the midfielder in front for any defensive balance that they need. ie using full backs in right positions to pick up there forwards and midfielder for their no 10.
- My gk will be organising as well as defenders and up outside of his 18 yard box in case any clearance comes long over the defenders and in behind them
