A couple of sessions to work on attacking transition, quick balls into open space, cross/shooting principles.

3 stations, 1 hold up striker, 1 attacking mid, 1 long pass.
Aim: Work on balls over a line of defence, striker hold up play, and creating shooting opportunities.
Setup:
- replicate playing out from the defensive half, looking to hit the striker early, either passing through the lines (manequinns) or over the top of a line of defence.
- Striker using his chest,thigh, head, feet to bring the ball under control, either 2 touch to score, or pass to incoming mid for a lay off.
Variations:
- Add defender to put pressure on hold up. no tackle to start.
- Can we play 1 touch?

Attacking pass into corner channels/Crossing/Shooting.
* With a left cross, right cross and a shooting line, you could choose to rotate all players through each station or, separate into positions played.
Aim:
- quick attacking transition into dangerous attacking areas, quick ball movement to create cross opportunity for oncoming striker.
setup:
- 4 stations set up as shown
- middle station always starts, Ball is played into checking striker/mid, passed back, then hit with purpose into shaded areas.
- Striker turns and moves into box for shooting opportunity
- 2 touch to cross MAX!, striker working on timing run to meet ball for 1st time finish.
Variations:
- Add defender to provide pressure on first pass receiver.
- create a 3v2
- add defenders next to each station. Must try to catch each player when the leave their station. (will improve awareness, quick decision making, fast ball movement, precise passing, spatial awareness)
