SSG creating 2v1's in wide areas
Objective: To create 2v1 using FB and WMF and create crossing opportunities to score
Organisation:
-9v9
-Blue Team (Defending 4-3-1)
-Red Team (Attacking 3-2-3)
-The blue team must only have 1 player in the wide areas to look to score in 8 seconds
-Red team must look to overlap in wide areas
Coaching Points
-Angles and Distances of FB and WMF (Wide / narrow)
-Switching play to the opposite FB and WMF if needed, quickly to prevent interception from opposition
-Positivity from the WMF to get the ball and attack the opposing FB
-Combination of both (Overlap from FB's and WMF)
-Recieve on back foot (FB)
-Positivity from the WMF to get the ball and attack the opposite FB
-Combination of both (Overlapping)
- Timings of runs by the CM and CF's when FB or neutral player crosses the ball
-Number 9 stays high to work on scoring from the cross
-Mobility from CM players, look to switch positions to off balance the defence

MDG: Creating 2v1's in wide areas
Multi directional game:
- 7 v 7 (+2 mutual players)
- Two wide zones on the edge of the 18 yard box
- Black players are the 2 overload / neutral players
- One FB must remain in the wide zones at all times fom both teams (including the overload player)
Objective:
-Both FB's and the neutral players use the wide areas to create overloads
-The aim is to pass the ball into wide areas to a FB or use the neutral player if the first pass isn't on
-The FB and neutral play must work together to beat the opponent (2v1) in the wide areas before making a cross into the box
- If a team scores, the retain possession from the GK and attack in the opposite direction.
-The wide players must stay in their zones and play in the same direction.
Coaching Points:
-Angles and Distances of FB and WMF
-Recieve on back foot (FB)
-Positivity from the WMF to get the ball and attack the opposite FB
-Combination of both (Overlapping)
-4v4 in the central area (CB; CM; CM; CF) working on keeping possesion
