The objective of this session is to improove ball control and passing accuracy during possession, with the goal to make a transition to counter and score.

CHEST RECEIVING/DROP AND PLAY BACK - 15 MIN
ORGANIZATION
The same as the previous drill, now the receiing players will receive the ball with their chest and put it down, as it bounces they will play it across and play it back, going left to right and vice versa.
VARIATION
Now they will receive at their chest and voley it back without let the ball bouce on the ground, they will play it back with the righ foot and left foot switchig from righ to left side.
PROGRESSION
From the chest, they now will switch to pass it back using the head.

4. Back foot to receive, soft pass across(controlling your touche) and pass back with accuracy

RECEIVING /PASSING/MOVING- 15 MIN
ORGANIZATION
Grids 20 x 30 yrds divided into two areas of 10 x 30 yrds.
2 corner flags or poles in the middle 5 yrds a part
10 players/soccer balls
DESCRIPTION
Place four players, at each end of the grid, 5 yrds away from each other
2 players will be in the middle as starting receivers.
Players A will pass to Players B, that upon receive it will make a J turn around the pole and pass the ball to player C.(players will follow their passes).
VARIATIONS
Players will receive the ball at both side of the flags, performing the J turn
PROGRESSIONS
Players will perform the HALF WAY TURN
Encourage players to be creative at their turns upon receive the ball.
Work on bounce the ball back and change direction to receive and pass the ball.
COACHING POINTS
Encourage the players to look of their shoulder prior to receive the ball
Body position to receive the pass
Back foot to receive and turn to pass
Accuracy on passing back.

TRANSITION PASSING DRILLS - 15 MIN
ORGANIZATION
Grids 30 x 40 yrds
10 players p/grids

DESCRIPTION
Sequences of short and long passes, with dynamic movements to receive, pass back and make a transition with a long diagonal pass.
After 45 seconds rotate the players.

4 x 4 + 2 transition games - 15 min
ORGANIZATION
40 x 30 yrds grid
10 players
soccer balls/color vests/cones
DESCRIPTION
Purple team initiates the play by keeping possession and trying to perform the pattern passes from the previous drills, by creating movements to receive the ball and penetrate to make the transition play.
5 transitions make a game, or 2 minutes games.
Target playes are able to move side to side but not able to enter the grid or transfer the ball from target to target.

5 x 5 + 2 TRANSITIONAL- 20 MIN
ORGANIZATION
50 X 40 YRDS GRID with 10 yrds wide neutral zone
15 players
color vests/cones/soccer balls/pug goals
DECRIPTION
Team will be splitted into three teams of five players, One team will be placed outside as Link players and one Neutral player will be playing in as a play maker(link player,Neutral player).
Teams are able to use the outside players, outside players are not able to score. 3 minutes games or 3 goals games, them switch to the outside team.

PASSING AND RECEIVING - 20 min.
ORGANIZATION
3 sets of cones (two RED cones placed 3 yards apart, and a BLUE cone 5 yards a part)
Two players per cones.
Soccer balls ( 1 ball per group of two players)
DESCRIPTION
Players will be side a side from each other, 1 player(passing player) at the blue cone, and 1 player(receving player) at the RED cone.
Blue player will pass the ball to the RED player , that upon receiving(two touces) will play the ball across the RED cone and play it back to the BLUE player.
VARIATIONS
1. Receiving and passing two touches
2.Receiving two touches and passing one touche
3. Receiving outside and passing inside
4. Left foot/Right foot.
