Organization:
Players are either attackers or defenders. They switch roles every time.
Instructions:
Attackers try and get through either gate without being tagged by the defender.
Coaching Points:
1. Attacker the defender at speed
2. Plant and push off front foot
3. Drop shoulder as plant front foot
4. Double drop shoulder? Don't lose momentum

Instructions:
Players look to dribble and perform move (Scissor) by faking to the right and then going through the left gate.
Coaching Points:
1. Players start on eye contact
2. Messi dribbling (touch every step, head up, pinky toe)
3. Keeping feet low to the ground
4. Fake (Scissor) towards 1 o'clock and take ball to 11 o'clock. Drop shoulder sharply with scissor
5. Bigger touch out of move

24x40 area set up as shown
24x5 end zone at either end marked with cones
1 target gate at either end zone line as shown (tall cones)
10 players (5 attackers & 5 defenders)
1 ball (additional around outside)
Instructions:
- Teams play standard 5v5 small sided game. Play restarts with kick ins. No offsides.
- Attacking team can score by either dribbling through center gate (2pts) or into end zone (1pts)
- Teams play directional
Coaching Points:
- Controlled approach
- Body shape - low centre of gravity
- Awareness of space, surroundings & approaching players position
- Timing & execution of dribble. Whens the best time to cross the half?
- Timing & execution of skill move
- Next action: Accelerate away from defender

1. When teams score at one end, they turn & attack opposite end
