Passing Combinations (25 mins)
Organization:
15 x 20
3 Players
1 BallInstructions:
(As shown in diagram)
1. Three players
2. Ball starts off with one of the end players, passing it into the player in the middle.
3. Middle player passes the ball back.
4. Original sender, receives the ball and plays it to the other end.
5. Pattern repeats. Short-Short-Long (follow your pass).
Coaching Points:
1. Quality of first touch/passing
2. Communication
3. Tempo - increase/decrease with number of touches we take
4. Placement of pass to back-foot or closest foot to open up/play the next ball
Progressions:
(P1) - Adding in a fourth player; two players in the center. Working off each other.

Developmental Repititions (15 mins)
Organization:
15 x 20
3 Players
1 Ball
Instructions:
1. A plays to B who opens up and plays to C.
2. C drives at A and beats them with an Inside Outside.
Coaching Points:
1. Quality of movement (timing)
2. Quality of first touch/passing
3. Communication
4. Quality of move

Semi-opposed (15 mins)
Organization:
15 x 20
3 Players
1 Ball
Instructions:
1. Player A takes a touch to either side to begin the activity then plays to B.
2. B opens up and finds C.
3. On C's first touch A becomes a passive defender and applies pressure to C.
4. C beats A by combining with B using a give and go
Rotation: A to B, B to C, C to A.
Coaching Points:
1. Quality of check
2. Communication
3. Quality of pass
4. Drive at defender's front foot
5. Keep ball close, touch on every step
6. Play late as possible with outside foot
7. Direction and weight of return pass
8. Quick movement to receive the ball back again
Progressions:
(P1) - Attacker can choose to scissor instead of give and go
(P2) - Defender (A) is now live and trys to win the ball. Play 2v1 game to endlines. Keep score.

Fully Opposed (20 mins)
Organization:
20 x 30 yard grid
1v1 + 2 Nuetral Players start off on the flank
2 small goals.
Instructions:
1. Players play a 1 vs 1 game for 2 minutes, they have two support players either side of the field they can use to help get past the defender.
2. Support players must stay on outside of field and only have one touch.
Coaching Points:
1. Drive at defender
2. Look to commit them
3. Observation of defender before deciding what to do
4. Angle/distance of support of neutral players
5. Use of correct surface to pass the ball
Progression:
(P1) - Players may enter field of play to make quicker combination.

Dynamic warm up followed by reaction races
Bouncing on toes facing different directions/ on knees / legs crossed / on belly / jump and high ten
First one to touch coaches hand wins
Coaching Points:
1. Be on toes
2. Listen for coaches signal
3. Reaction time
4. Speed of movement
