Organization: 44*35 grid - split in half. Two large goals. Supply of balls along the outside. 3 teams of 5-6 players, two GKs in goal. Adjust according to numbers.
Activity:
Players take part in a 5v5 game (including GK). Regular rules apply. Main condition is that each player must remain in their own half. Three in the defending half and one in the attacking zone. Play timed rounds of 3 minutes. Objective for the attackers is to shoot on goal and score! Winning team stays. Rotate through the 3 teams. Upon a goal being scored or a ball going out of bounds, restarts being with the GK.
Progression: have two players (sniffers) in the attacking half.
Coaching Points:
1. See your target, commit to it.
2. Head down, follow through. Shooting foot should be the first to hit the ground after swing.
3. Plant foot placed beside the ball, pointed in the direction of the target.
4. Lock the ankle.
5. Strike through the center to bottom half of the ball.
6. Create space for your shot.

Organization: 50*40 field. Supply of balls along the outside and in the goals.
Activity: 2 teams - Play 7v7 (including GK). LOTG apply, including retreat line. Each team plays 1-2-3-1. Perhaps some coaching over, but otherwise allow for free play. Award an extra point for every successful attempt (even if just wide) or shot on goal (even if saved).
Coaching Points: Reinforce key factors and objectives from the session.
4v4+2 Shooting Game (15 mins)
Organization:
25*30 yard grid; one large goal on one end (space of 18-yard box separating). Supply of balls at the other end.
Activity:
Two teams play 4 v 4 (or even numbers) + 2 neutral in the area. Attacking team (blue) must make 3 passes before going to goal. To score they must dribble through one of the wide gates on either side of the area and finish unopposed. All re-starts with the server (S).
Progressions:
One defender can track the runner through the same or opposite gate.
Play even numbers.
Remove the gates; have an attacker and a defender on the top of the box outside of the grid.. after 3 passes the attacking team can now pass into the attacker with 1 player joining to make a 2 v 1, OR if a player dribbles out of the grid he/she can combine with the other striker again for a 2 v 1.
Coaching Points:
1. Disperal - open the space; look for penetrating gaps.
2. Be patient - wait for the opportunity.
3. See the target - follow through.
4. Proper shooting technique - head over the ball; plant foot next to ball.
5. Strike through the ball.
6. Lock the ankle.
