Each team plays 5v5 in the central (unshaded) area. The width of this area can be changed depending on players age and ability.
A support player from each team stays in the wide (shaded) area, 1 from each team in each half. The support players from the same team should be on opposite sides of the pitch.
To score a team must make a pass from their defemsive half into the wide support player in the attacking half. They have 1 or 2 touchs (depending on age and ability) to set up a scoring opportunity.
Players rotate (and wide players switch sides) at coaches discretion.
COACHING POINTS
Speed of play, Quality of passing, first touch in wide area, movement to create space for forward pass, selection of pass to create scoring opportunity, finishing techniques.
PROGRESSION
Defender making forward pass can move into attacking half to support attack.
