Session was aimed at getting the players to think and act more on being supportive of teammate when in possession of the ball and to offer positional help when defending.
I hope the players can get some ideas on passing combinations that can get them out of tight spaces when attack

Organization:
- Playing area is about 20x35yds set up as shown
- Teams are divided into 3 even groups.
- Two groups work inside the playing area in pairs
- Each pair with a ball
- one group is placed on two sides of the area as displayed in the picture
- Yellow team is bumpers
Instructions:
- Player 1 starts the activity by playing a Wall Pass/Give&Go with one of the bumpers listed as Player 2
- When Player one gets the return ball he has two touches to find his partner player 3 who was checked away from the play to create space for player 1
- upon receiving the ball player 3 then repeats the role of player 1 using a different bumper(no.2)
- Teams are roated to bumpers every 2mins.
Coaching Points:
- Players should be making eye contact/communicating with their partner or bumper before making pass
- wall passes must be played at an angle to give best result for getting pass a defender.
- as player 1 is completing the wall pass/give&go, player 2 must be checking away from the play to create space for a long ball
- Speed of play must be emphasized for effectiveness of activity.
Progressions:
-Limit touches to 1 throughout the entire activity.

Organization:
- Teams are divided into 3 groups of four (or whatever numbers are available)
- Teams 1 & 2 are placed inside the orange and green areas and are considered attackers
- Team 3 is placed in the netural zone and start the game has defenders
- Coach always starts the play after the ball goes out of bounds
Instructions:
- Coach starts by playing a ball to one of the attacking teams
- As soon as ball is played two defenders are release to try and win/disrupt the attacking teams play
- After a # of passing combinations the attacking team of 4 looks to play the ball to other attacking team in the opposite grid
-Another Keep away ensues
- If defenders win the ball or force play out the teams switch roles
- Teams can score by playing a successful pass to attacking team in opposing grid.
- First team to 5 goals wins the game and the losing teams has to do frog jumps
Coaching Points:
-Player in position of ball must always have support to his/her Left, Right and a Spilt pass option (through the middle)
- Awareness of the diamondtriangular shapes
- 3 teammates must always be repositioning themselves offering support as the ball travels from player to player
- players must alway first pick head up looking to score first then make decision to keep the ball moving if penetration is denied
- Receiving team should be ready to receive the long ball technical and positionally
- Speed of play - players must make quick and accurate decision in order to obtain maximum success
Progressions:
- Limit number of touches
- Players have to get their own ball on the restart

Organization:
- Playing Area is half of field/whatever space available set up as shown
- Players are divided into 3 even teams, with two teams of attackers and one team on the side as bumpers
- Balls are compiled at both endlines so players can restart the game by their own goal
Instructions:
- Coach starts the game by playing a ball in the air team in ball possession plays an 8v4 game using bumpers try to score on the defending teams two small goals.
- bumpers are only allowed two touches and must give the ball back to the team that last touched the ball before it go to bumper
- Game is played for 4mins or first team to score a goal.
- The rotation must be quick, team going out becomes bumpers team coming in immediately starts defending as the winning team starts with ball possession
Coaching Points:
-Players must try to use bumpers as much as possible to expand the field and make it difficult for defending team.
- bumpers should always be ready to receive passes and make quick combinations positionally and technically
- players must get eye contact with their teammates and bumpers and must communication the type of communication they would like to work
Progressions:
Limit players to 2 touches
increase #s of defenders
Reduce #s of bumpers

Organization:

- Players are divided into 3 even teams, with two teams playing each other and one team on the side
- Four small goals placed on the field as shown
Instructions:
- Players play for 4 mins or first to 1/2 goals.
- After goal is scored or time is called time on deck quickly transitions in to be defending team and losing team goes to sideline
Coaching Points:
- Speed of play is important throughout the game
- transition between games must be quick
- commit opponents to the dribble and set up passing combinations or use passing option as decoy and take the ball to goal yourself
- there must be lots of communication especially when passing. players must state the combination they would like to work so receiving players knows the type of touch to take
Progressions:
- A player cannot score consecutive goals
- 2/1 touch passes and or finishes
- to score all players must be across the half

Organization:
- Players are pair up with a teammate
- Each pair with a ball
- Players try to work in between 18yd and hlaf line
Instructions:
- Each pair must pass and move the ball between themselves
- ball and players must be moving at all times
- coach will instruct/demonstrate:
*Wall pass
*overlap
*double pass
*passes in between opponents
Coaching Points:
- Players should always try to move to a different space after each pass
- passes should be played to receivers back foot
- receiver should always try to receive pass in direction of next pass
- players must use eye contact and other form of communication before passing to each other
Progressions:
- Limit number of touches before passess
- increase groups
- add bumpers
