Technique- using the correct technique to control the pass. Use the inside of your foot, keep shoulders and head over the ball
Positive Touch- Ensure touch is in front of you but not to far ahead. Don't want to lose control of the ball. Watch the ball on to your foot.
Angle of Approach/Decision making- depending on pace and angle of pass, make the correct decision on whether to use the inside or outside of your foot to control- take touch away from pressure

6 to 8 players in each group (4 reds 4 blues). 3 or 4 to a cone.

Session Explanation
Defending team passes the ball to the attacking team. The defender then closes down the attacker who has to take a first touch away from the defender using the inside of the foot and then try to score. Can score in either goal to begin Passive pressure to begin. After 3 minutes switch teams around.
EASIER/HARDER
The defender passing the ball shouts out Number 1 or 2 as they pass the ball. That is the goal the player needs to take a touch too and score.
Defender can now tackle. Player can score in either goal. If the defender wins the ball they can also score. 3 minutes for each team and progression.

Session Explanation
To begin players have to transfer the ball from one player on the outside to the other to get a point.
Swap the players on the outside after 3 minutes. Focusing on players first touch in the middle section. Making angles to receive.
EASIER/HARDER
Must try to control the ball with your weaker foot- You can play pass with weaker also foot.
When you play a pass to the player on the outside you swap positions with them. Player on the outside dribbles into the middle and starts attack.
Outside player must do a one two with player in the middle before being released into the middle.

Organisation
Same set up as previous drill but just bring in Goals and G.k's
Session Explantion
Teams can score in either goal but have to combine with person in grid before scoring. Players in the grid can't be tackled till they come out of grid.
Progression
Have to swap with person once you've played pass- Focus on first touch out of the grid.
Normal game rules apply- remove grids and play normally.

Session Explanation
Players pass the ball to each other through red gates and player receiving the ball needs to take a first touch with the inside of their foot through the red gate before playing the ball to the next person.
EASIER/HARDER
Player takes a touch with the inside of their right foot past the red cone on the right. Then progress to left cone.
Use the outside of your foot to take ball past the cone.
Practice with left foot also.
Close the passing distance. Player who passes the ball pressurizes player receiving the pass. Passive pressure.
