Theme: The difference between making a mistake and cheating.
Organization: Place cones in a triangle or a square depending on how many players there are. Teams sit down in a line behind the cone. Each player on the team is given a number and players sit in that order. When the coach yells a number, all players with that number have to run around their team and then around all the other teams and back to their original position (like #1 of team 1). The first one gets a point for their team.
Variations: Instead of running can run backwards, sideways, hop, jump with both feet. Coach can call out two numbers and players have to hold hands and run together. Can introduce a ball and have teams dribble or call numerous numbers and have all those numbers touch ball together while running using their hands, backs, heads, etc.
Length of game: 15-30 minutes
Learning: Players might try to cheat to win the race. There is a difference between making a mistake and cheating. Cheating is not winning, and if when we cheat - on the football field, in school or in life - we don't learn or improve.
