playing out from the GK
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
server 1 will play the ball to the GK, the GK will receive the ball on the back foot, re-adjust their feet then play to server 2 (see sequence of play). Then the GK will re-adjust to set in line with Server 2 for a shot.
the sequence is: 1>GK>2>GK>1>GK>2>GK>1>GK>Target>shot from 2
coaching points:
receiving the ball on the back foot, re-adjusting feet, passing accuracy, head up, communication
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Progression 2:
The ball is played into the GK centrally, the GKs first touch is with the back foot. for example, if the target is to the GKs left then the keeper controls with the left opening the body up to adjust to then pass with the left between the cones and then played into the mini goals/target set. do this x3 per side
Progression 3:
same as above except the target would be a wide/further distance (modern FB position).
Progression 4:
combine it all, now the server chases down the pass to apply pressure to the GK. x3 per side
Coaching points:
receiving the ball on the back foot, re-adjusting feet, passing accuracy, head up, communication
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Game Relevance:
A server plays a through ball, high or low. the GK will be in a relevant position to the ball, the GK will have to make a decision about whether to defend the space or the area and then distribute according to the target set. there will be a player chasing down the through ball to apply realism.
coaching points:
decision making, positioning when out of possession & relevant to the ball.
