Organisation
Using half pitch, both teams start with a ball with the end man.
Pass the ball through each other, working the ball through to the opposite end player.
Look for connections and combinations that would occur within the game.

A 30 x 40 playing area.
2 teams of 6 + 3 Floaters.
How to Play
The White players are playing just inside the lines, with 2 of the Floaters. The other Floater plays in the middle.
Whites try to keep the ball with the help of the floaters.
If Blues win the ball, they try to keep it with the help of the floaters and the Whites come in off the lines to try to win the ball back.

Set up an area as shown.
How to Play
Blues start the play by stepping into the pitch with the ball.
All 3 Blues must touch the ball before it can be advanced into the middle third.
When the ball comes into the middle third one of the Blues can move up, White wing-backs can step in to help defend.
All Blues must touch the ball before it can go into the attacking third.
In attacking third, Blues should try to take the ball over the end line.
If Whites win the ball they should play through the thirds as quickly as possible to the end line.
Progressions
Remove pass restrictions.
Add a goal and keeper at the end line.
Add a recovering defender into the final third.

Possible Coaching Points:
Blue 2 movement Triggers back 3 and opposite wing-back movement (red arrows).
Blue 2 presses the ball when server puts his head down to pass.
Blue 2 runs at pace to get there quickly (before his touch, if so win the ball)
If he doesn't get there before his touch, Blue 2 must focus on:
White facing his own goal/back to goal.
Press/Get tight.
Body angle/Showing him outside/touchline/cut out pass into central areas.
Slow down play so we can get organised.
Be aggressive.
Timing of tackle.
STOP cross.
Communication.
Goal keeper always feeding information into defenders. Loud, clear, precise.
"Left/right shoulder."
"Get tight."
"Squeeze up" and so on.
Blue 11 drop into back line if CBs get pulled across.
Blue 4 screen passes into strikers.
Blue 8 and 10 mark just off their opponents ready to press or track runners.
Blue team win ball counter/score within limited passes.
