Learning Outcomes:
1. Learn how to generate power when shooting. Various scenarios (ball moving towards you, away from you, stopped).
2. Understand how to create space to fire a shot.

Organization:
-2 Groups.
-GK, bumper, shooters with a ball each.
Instructions:
-The focus of the session is shooting with power so we work build up the session from easy to generate power to hard.
1. Ball moving towards you - pass to bumper for a set and 1 touch shot.
2. Ball stoppped - pass to bumper who stops the ball for a 1 touch shot.
3. Ball moving away from you - play a give and go with the bumper; prep touch and shot.
-After shot become the bumper.
-Change GKs every round (3 minutes).
Coaching Points:
-Strike with laces.
-Head over the ball looking at the top of the ball.
-Use the momentum of your approach to generate power.
-Land in front of where you struck the ball. Land on shooting foot.
-Prep touch should set you for next touch to be a shot.
-Communication is feet and set.
Cues
-Player standing and calling "set" = wants ball passes in front for 1 touch shot.
-Player moving towards you and calling "set" = wants ball stopped for first touch shot.
Progressions/Regressions:

Organization:
-2 teams as seen above.
Instructions:
-2v2 the player who shoot must tocuh his own post before defending while his partner defends 1v2 again two new players who dribbled on the field.
-If the ball goes out of play with out a shot - four new players come on.
-Keep score - player 3 minute rounds.
Coaching Points:
-Quick reactions/trasition.
-Create a small space to find a shot.
-Shoot early if the chance is there.
-Head up to see the goalkeeper's position.
Progressions/Regressions:
-If you score before the player touches the post it's worth 2.
-If you score before the player touches the post you don't need to touch the post.

-6v6. Fifa rules.
Instructions:
-Score in the opposition's goal.
Coaching Points:
-Shape when building out. Options left, right, center.
-Risk vs reward - Penetration vs possession.
-Body shape.
-Quality of the pass.
-Movement to create individual space and team space.

Juggling (15 mins)
Organization:
-1 Ball per player.
Instructions:
-Juggling to beat personal high score. When coach shouts "juggle off", players must find a partner and compete to see who can get the highest score in one minute.
-You must count your juggles out loud while juggling. LOUD!
-Repeat every few minutes changing partners.
-Ball must start on the ground.
Coaching Points:
-Toe down to create a flat surface.
-Less spin the better.
Progression:
-Alternating feet.
