Small Sided Games 2v2 3v3
Ensure coaches have plenty of soccer balls on hand to maintain the temp of the game
Rotate to ensure all players play in 2v2 and 3v3 game sitution
Set Up
Set up two fields 20m x 15 m with goals at each end.

This is a free game which should stimulate expression, initiative and the creativity of the players.
Encourage the players to take each other on and run into space to score.
The aim is develop their technique and individual tatical play
Encourage players to use the dribbling techniques they have learnt.

Recap of Moves of Week skill
Move forward with the sole of the foot while walking
While walking, they push the ball forward using the sole of the right and left foot. The objective is to stimulate ball control and sensitivity. Ask for a soft touch and a regular rhythm.
Move the ball forward with sole while skipping
While skipping, the players push the ball forward using the sole of the right and left while trying to keep a regular and well-coordinated rhythm.
Lateral Rolling while Walking
This is a technical exercise where players move the ball forward while remaining in a lateral position which is important to learning ball control, feints, and dribbling. The body's lateral position will be useful in shielding the ball during a match.
Lateral Rolling while Running
This is an exercise of medium difficulty that requires running with constraint and a greater attention and sensitivity with the touch of the ball linked to the lateral running,
Quick dribbling using the Outside of the Foot
In this exercise the players run with the ball pushing it quickly with the outside of the foot only. The exercise helps act of dribbling and changes of direction. Emphasise the extension of the foot with the tip pointing down.
Running with the ball with the Inside of the foot
The players run with the ball using the iside of both feet with quick touches on the ball. The exercise stimulates the contact of the ball and inside of the foot ball control. Progress the exercise by requesting a higher rhythm and quickness of execution
Dribbling with the inside and outside of the foot with many quick touches
In this exercise the players run with the ball using many touches alternating a touch with the inside and a touch with the outside of the foot. The promary objective of the exercise is the control of the ball and first steps of dribbling
Dribbling and Stopping
In this exercise the players run with the ball using many touches, every 3-4 touches they must stop the ball with the sole of the foot. Knowing how to stop the ball and re-start is a technical objective that is important at this age and also stimulates coordination and balance
1, 2, 3 all the Way
In this execrise the players run with the ball, when coach says 1, 2, 3, all the way, players they must stop the ball the sole of the foot and take three hops backwards dragging the ball backwards with the sole of their foot. After the 3rd hop, players then continue to dribble again.

Focus on using both the inside and outside of both feet.
