Description: Teams play 5v5+3 into 6 goals. Directional but teams cannot score until in attacking half. Playmakers on 2 touch.
Progression:
A = All players past half way for goal to count to encourage locking in.
B = Half way line rule is removed for scoring, eg, players can score from anywhere to encourage pressure higher up
C = 1st time finish only (+ 1st time assist)
D = 2 touch, if they take 3, next person on 1.
E = 5 goals for central finish, 1 for wide goals to encourage team to show wide.

Description: 5v5+3. Teams look to move the ball about the whole area and get 6 passes before scoring in any of the four goals. Defending team look to block central channels, restrict space and force outside of shape. Playmakers + GKs play for team in possession.
Timings: 6 x 4 mins
Progressions:
A = Pass count remains if possession is lost but then won back within 2 passes.
B = Pass count removed - teams can score at any point.
C = Must be a 1st time finish
D = 2/3 touch limit for all.

Description: 5v4 wave with 1 of the defenders at mini-goal recovering. Attacks no longer than 15 seconds. Wide player and striker remain for all attacks - defenders cannot go into wide areas until the wide player has touched the ball. Play starts with pass to striker - first touch free however defender can apply pressure. When pass is made the two attackers join from beside goals with one additional defender joining - alternate from different side each time. If defending team win it then look to hit mini-goals.
Timings: 4 x 3 mins
Progressions:
A = 2nd defender can recover to make it 5v5.

Description: 4v4 game with 4 off.
Progression: Wedges stay in but play can now go there, just for reference.

Description: GK starts with ball and passes to Defenders who are set, then then drive forward to play up to ST or 2 x wide attackers to go 3v2 the other way. Defenders who have played out stay set for the next attack, but must let ST receive 1st touch before setting in zone. Constant 3v2 with ST always set. Players go back to where they came from. If DF win it they find ST at other end and 2 x attackers come in. If ball ends up at GK, shot is taken and more than a 1st time finish or ball goes out of play then attack is dead.
Timings: 4 x 4 mins (Switch teams)
Adaptations:
A = Progression, defenders are live right away
B = 1 x DF can step into attacking half, but only in zone to offer depth
C = ST can press on playing out and if they win it ca be supported by other 2 attackers, but ball still starts at opposite GK.

Technical Passing: Receive to play forward (10 mins)
Description: 3 x options for this pattern, with a focus on how to hurt opposition, receive and play forward. Passes follow arrows, players follow pass. 1,2,6 rotate, 3,4, 5 rotate
Timings: 6 x 90 seconds round. Work on 3 patterns, once on each side.
Progressions:
1 = Receiving player (3) takes ball on backfoot and plays out. Everyone follows pass.
2 = Receiving player now shows short and then bursts in behind for through ball. Everyone follows pass
3 = Bounce to attract opposition to then play through. Same rotation as before, don't follow pass for bouncing players etc.
