Key Factors:
Moving as a unit and communicating from behind and on either side to close off the passing channels.
The attacking team has to complete a minimum of 5 passes before attempting a through pass. If the pass is blocked off, the attacking side, then change places with the defenders and defend the team on the opposite side.
If the through pass is successful, the defending side in the middle, turn around and continue defending the opposite team in possession.

Similar set-up as the initial session.
Keep the defensive unit shifting side to side to stop the through ball to the now introduced Striker.

If the ball is won by the defense, they can look to play direct passes in to one of the mini goals, as if creating the counter attack.
On the Strikers first touch, the defender behind the end line is released to sprint out and initiate a 1v1 before the Striker can get a shot off on goal.

The entire area is expanded by 10m on either side to introduce the goals and the GK's.
The middle section is also made large by 10m(5m each side)
Making the main area 10m/20m/10m (+GK area)

Session Set-Up
Breaking Lines (Specific Practice into SSG) Out of Possession:
Key Factors:
This session is waved attacks in possession, aimed at staying the team in the middle section staying in in a compact defensive shape.
Team in the middle section of the are defending the team in possession. They will be moving the ball around their section, trying to create a space between the defensive unit, to try an play the ball through to the other side.
The aim will be at the defenders communicating when to press out, hold, shift across etc.
Although it can turn out to be qute a physical session, I see this more aimed at the mental side of defending. Can the defenders maintain concentration to nullify the attack?
Organisation:
- 40m x 30m Area
- 12 Players (+3 (1GK) when SSG is introduced)
- 1 Large Goal (SSG)
- 3 Mini Goals (SSG)
