Passing and receiving to penetrate to goal. Technical how a player positions their body to receive a pass to goal in relation to a teammates position. Tactical developing players ability to recognize when to penetrate based on a defenders position and the angle created by teammates.

Instructions:
Player 1 takes a touch to either the red or blue cone, Players 2 and 3 now move to that color cone at the same time. This creates a good angle for the players to receive the ball. Player 1 now becomes a defender and is live when player 3 receives the ball. Player 2 passes to player 3 and they go 2v1 to goal.
The defender can win the ball after a player receives it.
Rotation 1 to 2, 2 to 3, 3 to Defender, Defender to 1.
Coaching Points:

Players Receiving the ball look to penetrate forward on first touch

Organization:2v1 to 2v1. 25x15 grid with row of cones 15 yards away from the start. Pug goals on endlines and on the far end there are 2 gates made from cones. Play 3 games of 8 minutes with teams switching sides 4 minutes in.
Instructions: Attackers dribble the ball into first grid where it is 2v1 and try to dribble over the cone line. The attacker that dribbles over the cone live is now 2v1 with Defender 2. Defender 2 cannot leave the goal until the attacker is over the cone line. The attacker can score on the pug OR dribble through one of the gates (see scoring) If defender 1 wins the ball they can finish on Pug goal in the 2v1 area.
Scoring:Attackers each get one point the ball going over the cone line
If the attacker that dribbles over the cone line scores on the pug goal the get an extra point OR if they can dribble throught the gates ate the end the get 2 extra points.
If Defender 1 on the pug goal they get 2 points.
Coaching Points:
1)Recognition of the space created by player movement
2)Speed dribbling when space opens up and after getting by defender
3)Attacking space that is left by defender if following supporting attacker
4)Use of hip swivel to commit the defender to staying with supporting attacker
5)In the final are recognition of when to dribble or finish on Pug goal

Dribbling Warm Up (10 mins)
Organization: Every player has a ball, grid sizes vary according to number and skill of players
Instructions:
1)Players start by dribbling in any area they want
2)Coach will shout a surface of the foot or a skill move (pull push or feint) for the players to perform AND/OR shout a color (red or yellow) and the players must dribble into that box until a new color is given
Coaching Points:
1) Heads up to avoid collisions
2)Ball control
3)Different surface and foot dribbling
4)Touch every step
5)Speed Dribbling when changing from box to box.
