Intervals:
2 min work + 1 min rest x 6 reps = 24 min
Setup:
3 teams of 6
(GK work on own)
Grid split into 1/3s -- 30x20 (wider than long)
Activity:
Only defending team can score -- 1 point for winning ball and playing back to central channel; 3 points for scoring in goal behind attackers (small goal with no GK)
Attacking team should be setup with a back 4 in U shape, #6 in middle and #8 higher.
Progression:
+ Opposite team can send in one player to play in central channel (midfielder)
Coaching Points:
~ Technical details: receive across body, pass to proper foot, open body to field
~ #4/5 creating angles of support
~ #6 finding pockets of space between defenders (move opposite of ball direction)
~ #2/3 maintaining width

~ Using inside/outside patterns to break lines (#4->#6->#2)

~ #6 moving away to take defender away, #8 checking into that space

a) 4v0 - practice moving ball according to following rules:
- Must play 2 touch
- Must receive opposite foot (open body)
- Must get to nearest cone to passer

b) 4v1 - add a defender that can get out of the middle by stealing ball or recogning when ANY rule is broken
