Organization:
1. 20x20 area set up as shown
2. One ball per player
3. Separate players into two groups
4. One group per side of the field
5. One player per gate
Instructions:
1. The first player in line will take a touch and pass the ball
2. The player standing in the gate will receive the ball with their back foot (foot furthest away from the ball) then begin dribbling to endline gate.
3. Add a defender, once the player receives the ball the defender tries to win the ball.
4. If the attacking player passes the ball through the gate, point for their team. If the defender can win the ball and place a foot on it, their team wins the point.
3. Once the play is dead, the next player in line can begin.
Coaching Points:
1. Receive with furthest foot from the ball
2. Slight hop onto standing foot on contact to prepare for next action
3. Receive with the toe pointed up and ankle locked
Developments: (Progressions/Regressions)
1. P - Competition: How many balls can be received and passed through the gate in an allotted amount of time.
2. P - Add a goal for attacking player to score in.
3. P - Add a goal for defending players to score in.
