If the defender manages to win the ball they must try to dribble or pass through the gate.

1 point for every goal you score, 3 points if you win the ball and counter.

Progression

Players can now attack either Goal. 1 point for straight, 2 points for diagonal.

Coaching Points

Conditioned Play Phase (20 mins)

Players split into 2 teams.

Objective for the team in possesion is to score in the opponents goal.  As soon as the ball has gone out of bounds there is a transitional moment. If the ball goes out of bound anywhere in the red half of the field, the two current red players leave the field and two new red players will start the attack. Same situation if the ball goes out in the Blue half.  1 point per goal.

Progressions

Players can start the transition from either starting cone so the play is harder to defend against.

If a player who is transitioning to defense, manages to win the ball and score within 10 seconds gets 3 points now.

Coaching Points

  • Show me how quickly you can react to defending.
  • Why does it matter how quickly you can press the opponent with the ball.
  • Which player should press the ball? Why?
  • What should the second defender do?
