Session Objective: Find and use space behind the opponent with well timed threaded passes through the opponents back line.

Organisation: 4v4 in a 20 yard grid with from the half way line as illustrated and two zones marked off. 2nd zone is a 2v1 and the third zone is occupied by the Goalkeeper.
Description: Coach plays the ball to the yellow team in the 1st zone, who then tries to score a goal into the two small goals. The blue team will defend the yellow team, preventing them from scoring. When the blue team wins the ball, they will try to keep possession and try to play the ball to the forward in the 2nd zone (2v1). When the ball is successfully played into the 2nd zone, both teams can now join in to attack or defend their goals.
Progression: When the blue team gets an opportunity and identify a moment to go forward, they can dribble into the 2nd zone and attack the main goal.
Coaching Point: Ensure diagonal passes meet straight runs, and straight passes find diagonal runs. The delivery of the ball.

Yellow looks to keep possesion of the ball using the four outside players + the center yellow player away from the blues. After losing posession, yellow outside players can enter the grid to try and win the ball back from the blue. When the blues win the ball, they must try to move the ball and dribble to either of the four orange gates marked out by orange tall cones.
Distance and angle of approach both players in and out of possession, how do you force the attacking player away from the goal.
