Welsh Way Principles - To break a line to create a socring chance

- Play 5v5+ 2 common players in yellow

Explanation:

- Game starts with RED in possession, Ball is played in from the side to attacking team. RED team tries to break lines to create scoring chances. To score a ball must be played into a corner with a player receiving the ball.

- Defending team tries to win the ball from attackers to become attacking team

Key coaching points:

- Aim to play the ball through the opposition, around the opposition or over the opposition at high speeds of movement.

- Can the attacking team engage a player to create success in breaking the team down.

- Aim to receive the ball with control in a pressured environment.

Make sure the team:

- Looking to break lines off a pass or a dribble

- is at a match tempo

- is switching the ball with speed

Interventions when necessary:

- walk through

- concurrent

- terminal
