On Arrival:
Juggling - Individual juggling challenges:
- Foot, Thigh, Catch
- Foot, Thigh, Head, Catch
Organization:
1 Player, 1 ball
Instructions:
Players move around area pretending other players are defenders and penetrating gaps in the opposition defence.
Coaching Points:
Messi:
- Pinky toe to dribble
- Small quick touches
- Head up, look for gaps
Xavi:
- Realizing no space
- Ball out of feet
- Head up after turn
- Acceleration out of turn
Ronaldo:
- Lots of space, take bigger touches
- Pick up head after every touch
Progressions:
Use of weak foot only.

Organization:
-20 x 30 yard area set up as shown
-12 players, set up as shown (use 2 grids if higher numbers)
-1 ball per player
Instructions:
1. The group is split into two and then divided again into each corner
2. The cone at the center of the area represents a passive defender
3. Two players from the same group must run out into the middle, execute a move and finish in the opposite corner
4. As soon as the players are past the cone the next group sets off
Coaching Points:
1. Positive first touch to engage defender
2. Timing of execution
3. Sell the move by using the upperbody
4. Movement of technique being taught
5. Cut behind defender (close the door)
Progressions:
P-Player A passes the ball to player b, after the pass player A walks directly to the cone in a straight line, player B must then dribble towards player A and complete the move. (passive defender)
P-Competition between groups within each square.

Organization:
1. 12 players
2. Four teams of 3 players
3. Two grids (25x15)
Instructions:
1. Red team starts attacking first on both games
2. Red players must dribble towards defender and attempt to beat them with the dribble
3. Blue players must attempt to win the ball while protecting goals
4. If blue player wins the ball roles are switched instantly and Blue team will attempt to score on the red teams gates (dribble through under control.
5. Players receive a point if they dribble with control through gates
6. After 1 minute blue becomes the attacking team and red defends
Coaching Points:
1. Dribble at players at speed
2. Timing of move (ex:Feint-Single scissors)
3. Change of speed (accelaration) while still keeping control of the ball

Organization:
3v3 Small-sided tournament games: 4 teams of 3 players eachteam. 2 fields of 20x30 yards with 2 Pugg Goals on opposite endlines.
Instructions:
4 Teams of 3, play 3v3 tournament style format where each team will play one another. 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie and 0 for a loss. Each game should be approximately 6-8 minutes in duration (obviously play a 3 game tournament).
Coaching Points:
· Review of session's learning outcomes being translatedinto the game
· 3 lines of attack
· Creating triangle (gives angles of support)
· Making triangle as big as possible (Creating space)

Warm Up Gauntlet (5 mins)
Organization:
20 x 50 area split into 5 zones (3 defending zones and 2 safety zones).
Instructions:
Players look to move through the zones without their pinnies being pulled out by the defenders. If they reach the end zone they score a point, if their pinnie is pulled out then they go back to the start and continue to play.
1st player goes, the next player doesn't go until the 1st player either has their pinnie pulled out or they cross through the 1st zone.
Coaching Points:
Recognizing one of 2 scanario's
1. Space
2. Defender
If space, they take it quickly (accelleration and running techniques)
If defender then discuss 3 key principles:
Fake - (dropping shoulder, bending knee)
Accelleration - (pushing off bent knee, using momentum to sping in opposite direction)
Protection - Making sure that you are always protecting pinnie (positioning body between defender and pinnie)
Progressions:
Addition of ball to work on dribbling/moves techniques
Introduce the Scissors with ball
