Keep ball (5 mins)

2 mini 3v2s

3 defenders and 2 attackers.

Attackers can travel across the 3 boxes, defenders are tied into there square

3 defenders must defend the area they are in, picking up the 2 attackers and moving in relation to where the ball is.

Both teams are aiming to keep the ball before creating the opportunity to drive through the poles in order to score a goal.

Main aim is to play into strikers and take a lay off

Attackers cannot tackle can only jockey and try shadow players out of play.

Keep ball leading to finish (10 mins)

Exactly the same as first practice

Once players dribble through poles they are encoiuraged to shoot into the goal, which is now fuilled with a goalkeeper

This shot is a 1v1 with the goalkeeper.

Attackers can still only jockey and shadow players, and box restrictions for attackers and defenders are still in place.

All in with finish (10 mins)

Attackers are now allowed to tackle, defenders are encouraged to use the full box when in possesion and think about angles to look for the ball.

Patience is encouraged as when goal is involved tendency to go 100mph.

Once a player dribbles through the poles is becomes all in and defenders are encourage to get back and make a block or last ditch tackle.

Goalkeepers are now allowed to be involved in play with the team in possesion- only the goalkeeeper in the goal you are defending, and the ball must go back to defenders, not miss them out.

LOOKING FOR THE SPARE MAN SHOULD BE ENCOURAGED THROUGHTOUT THE DRILLS, AND SHAPE IN RELATION TO THE BALL AND PLAYER IN POSSESION.
