Setup: Rectangle 20x40. 2 small gates on either end. 2 even teams of 5v5. If odd numbers, add a neutral. One team in pinnies.
Activity: Posession based game. Objective to maintain posession. Teams are awarded 1 point for every 10 consecutive passes and 2 points if they are able to dribble through their opponents gate.
Coaching points:
Mobility off the ball-find space to receive pass
Accuracy and pace of pass- don't force a pass
Support angles.
Body shape to receive and play the way you're facing

Equipment : 8 cones, 8-12 balls
Organization: see above diagram, 12 players, half a pitch
Warm-Up/Physical/Technical (15-20')
Players dribble/pass and move to the next cone. Last player finishes with a shot, collects the ball, goes back to start. Next player should start when the ball reaches 3rd or 4th player
Progression variation:
dribble to the cone and make very short pass
dribble few yards and then make a pass
2 touch; recieve-pass-move
Players should challenge themselves by using both feet, different passing techniques, movement before recieving, etc.
Key points:
First touch - set up your pass, in the direction you want to go
Passing - accuracy, pace, weight, head up, leading the player into space
Receiving - body postion, movement before recieving, head up, know the options ahead
Speed - speed of play, intensity, demand for the ball
Communication - talking, body shape, eye contact, signals

Warm Up Short/long passing (10 mins)
Passing warmup. A passes short to B who is moving towards them and lays the ball back off to A who strikes a long pass to C and follows the pass. C then plays a short pass to approaching A who lays off to C who strikes long pass back to B on the other side and play cycles,
