Waves practise-
The group starts in 3 teams. They will have 5 balls each.
Their objective is to score as many goals as possible
-If the defending team win the ball, they can pass to the coach for a point. The team that lost the ball can counter press to turn possession back over.
Once the ball is dead a new ball will be fed into the middle zone and they can attack the other end.
Progression:-
-If the defending team win the ball they now become the new attacking team. If a goal is scored that attacking team can remain attacking the other end.
Key points:-
-Supporting players must get ahead of the ball to pin defenders back
-Ball carrier must move the ball with speed
-If the defending team manage to reorganise can the attacking team look to show fluid movements to unbalance
-Defending team, can they recognise pressing triggers to be able to steal the ball
-Can defending team look to remain compact and organised to prevent opposition playing through

Defender in the middle points to a line to start, that player will then dribble in and play 1v1 and try to find a new line to join. As soon as that player arrives at the line the player at the front of the line will repeat the same action.
If the defender wins the ball or the player dribbles out of the area that player will become the new defender.
Progression:-
-If the player dribble directly to a line left or right of them it is worth 1 point, if they dribble through its worth 2
Key points:-
-Positive first touch to eliminate defender if they are recovering
-Manipulate the ball to unbalance defender
