Technical Objective: Running with the ball and stopping
Motor Skills Objective: Running, coordination, adapting, balance & quickness of execution.
Instruction:
In an area 20m x 20m, the players are divided into 2 teams and are protecting their zone where the "safe" is located inside the safe there are 10 cones At the coaches command, the players must run inside the opponents half and steal a cone (1 at a time) from the safe area and try to bring it back to their own safe.
The team with the most cones after 2 minutes win.
Variations:
Use the hands to start
Progress to dribbling with the ball
Emphasis
Encourage the players to use 1v1 play to dribble round the opponents, with a focus on speed and creativity

Organization:
20 x 20 yd field
Set up 5 for 6 gates (2yds wide). Half the players with a soccer ball, the other half on either side of the gate.
Start of with One defender applying passive pressure, making it more games realistic
Instructions:
Pairs must pass through the gate before moving on to the next free gate
Players pass the between themselves, using the correct technique
Competition - Players get 1 point for every successful pass, first to 10 passes wins.

Description
Players move freely around inside the area listening to the coach's instructions. Each instruction has a simple movement to follow.
Example of Instructions
Greenlight = Go (move around the grid)
Red light = Stop (Standstill)
Yellow light = Get ready to go (Jog on the spot)
Reverse = Move around the grid backward's
Speed bump = jumping header
Progression:
- All players get a ball and start dribbling.
Greenlight = Go (dribble around the grid)
Red light = Stop (quickly stop ball)
Yellow light = Get ready to go (Jog on the spot)
Reverse = Toe taps backwards
UTurn = Turn on ball
Speed bump = Jump over their ball
