Organization:
1.Open area (half of field max), set up as shown
2.3 groups of 4 players
3.1 ball per group (three total)
Instructions:
1.Players must pass and move around the area
2.Players are not permitted to play to those in their group
3.After a pass is made quickly go and find the next pass to receive
Coaching Points:
1.Combination selection
2.Timing of the combination
3.Play at speed
4.Read visual cues
Progressions:
P – Add more balls so combinations must be made quick
P – Players must receive from one color and play to different color
R – Start with the ball in hand to establish movements of give and go or overlap

Organization:
1.20 x 15 yard area set up as shown
2.4 players (2 Attackers, 1 Defender, 1 Resting) set up as shown
3.Repeat in two other areas for squad of 12
4.1 ball (Additional around the outside)
Instructions:
1.Defending player passes in to either attacker to start the activity
2.On the attacker’s first touch the defender becomes active and is permitted to challenge for the ball
3.The two attackers must attempt to beat the one defender with a pass or dribble
4.The ball must be stopped on the end line in order to score
5.Rotate players after set time intervals
Coaching Points:
1.1st attacker to commit defender to the ball
2.2nd attacker to offer support for combination either to the side or behind
3.Angle and distance of 2nd attacker
4.Play at speed
Progressions:
P – Defending player becomes active as soon as they have passed the ball
R – Increase area to 30 x 20 to allow more space to combine in

Organization:
1.40 x 25 yard area set up as shown
2.12 players (2 Teams of 5 with 2 Resting) set up as shown
3.1 ball (Additional around the outside)
Instructions:
1.Teams play 2v2 in each half of the field as they attempt to score in their opponent’s goal
2.Defending players are permitted to follow their pass to create a 3v2 situation
3.Only the player that makes the forward pass is permitted to join the attacking players
4.If the ball is lost or a goal is scored the defending player must return to their own half of the field
5.If the ball leaves the area normal restart rules apply (thrown-ins, corners and goal kicks)
6.Rotate players after a set time interval
Coaching Points:
1.2nd attacker to offer support for combination either in front, to the side, or behind
2.Angle and distance of 2nd attacker
3.Decision making of each player
4.Combination selection
5.Timing of combination
6.Play at speed
Progressions:
P – Remove restrictions and play 4v4
R – Play 3v2 in each defensive half to improve teams options to play out from the back
