Organization:
Triangle with cones around 10-15 yards apart
Instructions:
Defensive player runs out to attacker at cone, decelerating before they get there and then retreating in a delayed position while the attacker slowly makes their way forward.
Players switch with the atttacking player becoming the defender against the other attacker
Coaching Points:
Sprint forward to close space
Decelerate before reaching an attacking player
Even weight distribution
Knees bent
On balls of feet
Shuffle Feet

Instructions:
- Play 2 minute 1v1 games. Player who wins game moves up the league table, player who loses moves down. If ball goes out game restarts with one player passing to the other from either endline.
Coaching Points:
- Pressure,
- Position,
- Eyes on ball,

- Poke tackle with front foot.

Instructions:
-Pair players up, 1 from each team.
-They can only defend their partner, cannot steal from an opponent who is not their partner.
- Play 3v3 towards goal.
Coaching Points:
-angle of approach (force them to the side)
-Speed of approach (sprint, then slow down with small steps)
-Make other points only if they are able to do it and mastered the angle of approach along with speed of approach.

Instructions:
A and B pass back and forth. Whenever either player stops the ball the other must defend them 1v1.
Coaching Points:
- Quick pressure
- Slow down on approach
- Side on position, bend knees
- Eyes on ball
- Back peddle in defensive stance back to your starting point
Progressions:
- Receiving player now dribbles across to where defender started from. Defender must move feet quickly and stay between attacker and the endline. How far up the field can we confront the attacker?
