Instructions:
3 teams. Team in central zone are the defending team. Teams in end zones are the attacking teams.
Attacking teams gain a point each time they succesfully switch the ball from one side to the other. Defending team get three points each time they win the ball and find the goals.
Play for 60 seconds. Track how many rounds each team wins.
Play 9 rounds total (3 for each defending group)
Coaching Points:
- Pressure (Quick and communicated I got ball)
- Speed of transition between role of first defender and second defender
- Covering and balancing positions of players in middle zones
- Mentality to look to win ball and intercept passes
- Speed of transition if ball is switched (closest press quickly, the remaining defenders organize the cover)
Progression:
-One defender is allowed in end zones.

Organization:
4v4 game. 2v2 in each half. Players cannot leave their half of the field.
Play one goal games, winners stay on.
Coaching Points:
- Awareness of what we are defending (the goal)
- Starting position (deny penetration but be close enough to cover press opponent as ball travels)
- See the ball and the opponent
- Quick pressure as ball travels
- Anticipation to intercept if the pass is a poor one (underhit or inaccurate)
- Transition upon winning ball
- Rest defence when team is attacking
