Technical : Passing and Receiving
Initial setup : simple cockwise passig around the cones, two touch, follow your pass.
1. Play to back foot, away from pressure.
2. Think about weight of pass.
3. Make sure receiving player opens body and takes a good first touch to next target.
4. Communicate, demand the ball.
5. After 2 minutes, switch to anti-clockwise.
Progression : A straight pass must be followed by a diagonal pass. Player receiving diagonal pass plays a give and go with passing player then plays straight. This must all be done using 1 touch.
1. Player receiving diagonal pass uses cone as defender, lays the ball off and spins round the cone to receive ball.
2. Focus on weight of pass and weight of layoff. The give and go must lay receving player in to easily pass to his target.
3. If player is receiving straight pass after give and go then he can take 2 touches.
Organisation :
16 players total
2 boxes (8x8), 8 players in each, 2 at each cone
4 cones per box, total of 8
4 balls per box, total of 8
