Organisation:
The team is to be set up in our game day formation
objective is to go through patterns of play with focus on how we build up play in possession and our movement off the ball in relation to the play
Coaching Points:
Passing Quality - ball speed, passing to the task, pass to the correct foot of the receiver
Receiving quality - use correct foot, use correct part of the foot for the next action, be ready to receive the ball, body shape upon receiving.
Scanning awareness - check before asking for the ball, check as ball is travelling and check again after taking first touch, have options in your head before asking for the ball, head up once received,
movement - our movement off the ball needs to reflect the ball position, is the balls goes left we slide left, if is goes right we slide right, we have to work as one whole team unti but also as individuel units (def, mid, att). when building the attack, mids and attackers need to actively look to create space for themselves to receive, if we do not get the ball, recycle movement and create again

Organisation:
The players are to be split into equal teams. 1 player from each team to be placed at the opposite end of the grid as the target player inbetween the 2 small goals
grid size approx 25x20 - 2 small goals to be placed on the corners or the grid at each end
Outline - the coaches plays the ball in to one of the teams, 2 player from each team drive into the grid, the attacking team to try and score in either goal at the end they are attacking, the defending team to work together to prevent them from scoring, if the defending team with the ball they can attempt to score.
If attacking team score they keep the ball, if they lose possession or miss the goals then possession turns over
no limits on when attacking team can score
Scoring - if attacking team score straight in the goal its worth 1 point, if they are able to combine with the target player and score that is worth 2 points
Coaching Points:
Attacking - look to score as quickly as possible, keep ball moving to unbalance defenders and not allow them to set - time forward play to bring in target player to create overload
Defending:
- high intensity to close ground to attackers to prevent early shot at goal
- defenders not be in a flat line to prevent being split/ leaving space behind, if they pass, players should recognise if they are to drop off and let other player press, communication and awareness is key, do not just chase the ball
- 4 ds of defending - delay, deny, deflect, defend
