3v2 Situations (Overload player) (15 mins)

1st attacker dribbles to engage 1st defender and assess the scenario.

Can the 1st attacker beat the 1st defender in a 1v1 scenario?

If not, can the 1st attacker, isolate the 1st defender, to create an overload and 2v1 on the opposite side?

Can the players in the 2v1 recognize the scenario and turn on the burners to beat the 2nd defender in a 2v1?

3v3 Situations (20 mins)

1st attacker recieves, dribbles to penetrate and isolate the first and covering defender.

Attackers move and speed of play attempts to move defenders around to create 1v1 or 2v1 scenarios to penetrate.

Can the players in the 2v1 recognize the scenario and turn on the burners to beat the 2nd defender in a 2v1?

Encourage a LOT of movement OFF the ball and a LOT of confident dribbling and 1v1 moves!

- Supporting players use the width of the field to spread the covering defenders, with the view of creating spaces or channels for the 1st attacker to penetrate.

Introducing 4v3 Games (20 mins)

Same principles apply

Now team with 4 provide a player as a "point of attack" - in the spaces of the 3 defenders.

The 3 supporting players continue to stretch the 3 covering defenders.

Attacking players now continue to try penetrate 1v1, but become more aware of their supporting players and creating overloads 2v1's, to accelerate and finish
