Organization: 30x30m grid
Instruction: Players dribble freely around the space. On Coaches call, players must dribble through the grid in the middle and perform a move or a change of direction (introduce various moves/change of direction) once they get through the middle they must look to dribble through a gate on the outside.
Progression: After dribbling through middle players must get to an empty gate and stand in the gate. Once a player is in that gate is closed. Players that do not have a gate must do some sort of technical skill. ie 10 juggles, 25 toe taps, etc. before going back in.
Coaching Points:
Dribbling
Change of direction
Spatial Awareness
Foot-eye coordination

Dribbling Square Variations
Setup as shown
Player A, B, C, and D, dribble simultaneously toward central square. Big, quick touches to get there with small controlled touches on approach. As they approach square, perform a feint/turn/skill prior to turning and accelerating toward next cone. Continue sequence as shown.
Progressions:
1. Change direction of sequence
2. Variation in skills performed
3. Player A dribbles toward square and upon completion of feint dribbles across central square to C. Player C dribbles simultaneously and avoids Player A in central square to dribble to line A. Players B and D then proceed to dribble at the same time. Therefore A and C simultaneous, followed by B and D simultaneous.
Coaching Points:
1. Dribbling Technique (inside, outside, rolls, sole)
2. Awareness (head-up, eyes up, anticipation)
3. Change of Pace (slow controlled in tight spaces, bigger explosive with space)

Receiving Box
Setup as shown.
Player A plays to Player B. Player A follows their pass to line B. Player B receives BEHIND the cone with an open body shape and takes their first touch with their back foot. Player B then plays into Player C, and follows their pass to line C. Repeat sequence.
Progressions:
1. Player A plays into Player B and follows their pass to line B. Player B receives BEHIND the cone with an open body shape and takes their first touch with their back foot, and proceeds to run with the ball to player C. Player C takes possession and passes to player D and follow their pass. Player D repeats player B's actions. Continue sequence. Switch to allow Players A and D to RWB.
2. Add obstacles for players to avoid with passes/dribbles (cones, poles, etc).
Coaching Points:
1. Receiving Technique (open body shape, first touch with back foot, anticipation of space)
2. Dribbling/RWB Technique (small, controlled touches in tight space, larger explosive touches in space. Inside, outside, rolls and sole of the foot).
3. Passing Technique (Weight, pace, and direction)
