Football/Soccer Session (Beginner): Running with the ball- Session 1 and 4- 4v4 Team (EA)
Description
MVSC- Session 1-4 Curriculum.
This session is adaptable.
Do not rush nothing and work on the concepts, running with the ball.
We have 3 exercises, I understand sessions are an hour long only.
Avoid playing full field scrimages for now during the session time.
If you want to do a different dril or modify you are more than welcome as long as the objective gets done.

Content- Running with the ball
Objective- Keep the ball close to the feet.
Space- 20, 25 m Long
Teams- Groups of 3
Times- 20
Organizational Phase- Make groups of 3 max, with their respective end zone ( a square made of cones).
Give every group a set of 9 mini cones of different color, their goal will be to dribble to their zone, stop the ball inside square and drop the a cone, dribble back pass to next team ate and the next player will repeat. First team to drop all cones wins. Then repeat by bringing them back.
Adjustment Phase- Have a race where players drop them and bring them back without stoping.
Teaching Learning- Encourage using the outside part of their foot, pinky toe.

Principal Phase II
Content- Running with the ball
Objective- Switch direction and speed of the ball at the approach of a defender.
Space- 25x30
Teams- 3v3 or 4v4 (If you have enough to make 4 teams of 3v3 do it) adapt to your numbers.
Times- 25 min
Organizational Phase- Play a free 3v3 king of the court game, with 4 gates on the corners. The game is directional, so red scores on one side, white on the other. Play free, time for players to enjoy. Only rule is that players most dribble trougth the gate.
Adjustment Phase- Encourage players to take on 1v1s, and to look for open spaces to run with the ball.

Organizational Phase- Individually mark with cones a reference for players to start. This game is call Traffic lights.
Red-Stop, Green-Advance, Yellow-Slow
Adjustment Phase- Add a race end to end, race back and forward.
session 4- Add a player in the center and have him stealing the ball from the other players, the player that lost the ball now will steal balls, and will be 2 players defending then 3-4 till last man standing.
