The Session: Improve dribbling running with the ball.

Then giants gold (soccer ball's) start at the giants house with the giant guarding the gold. When the giant falls asleep (pretend), Jack sneaks up to try and steal the gold. When the giant awakes they must freeze like statues other wise the giant will see them, and send them back down the beanstalk to the beginning. Once they steal the gold, they dribble back to jacks house. When all the gold has gone repeat new game.
PROGRESSION:

- Use your speed to get to the gold
- Keep the ball close when dribbling.

THE SESSION:
15Wx20L yard grid, place 2 goals on the end line; 1 goal close to each corner.
Divide the players into 2 teams, set up as above.
When the coach serves a ball onto the field, 1st player from each team chases after it.
Whoever wins the ball tries to score in either goal, if the defender wins it back they become the attacker trying to score in either goal.

Simon Says (10 mins)
THE SESSION: Objective: Enhance dribbling skills and close ball control while listening and following instructions from the coach
- Set up in a small space on the practice field
- Each player needs a ball
- Begin with players free-dribbling
- Instruct players to listen and follow instructions but ONLY when the coach says "Simon Says" before the command
- Use commands such as: dribble forward, stop the ball with the sole of the foot, change direction, turn, cut, using the inside, outisde, sole, heel of the foot
